Field Service Software Pricing in Canada (2026): Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Workiz and Thryv Compared
What Jobber, ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Workiz and Thryv actually cost in Canada in 2026 — full pricing, and the one cost none of them include: your website.
If you run a trade business in Canada and you've started shopping for software to handle quotes, scheduling and invoices, the pricing is harder to compare than it should be. Some vendors charge per technician. Some charge per user on top of the plan. Some quote annually and won't publish a number at all.
Here's what the main platforms actually cost as of July 2026, what they're good at, and one thing almost nobody points out: most of them don't include your website.
The pricing, side by side

A few things worth reading carefully.
ServiceTitan is priced per technician. A three-truck shop is looking at roughly $735–1,194 a month before add-ons. It also carries implementation fees reported between $5,000 and $50,000, twelve-month contracts, and cancellation penalties documented in BBB complaints in the $5,000–20,000 range. That isn't a knock on the software — it's built for larger operations and it's genuinely deep. It's a knock on assuming the sticker price is the price.
Workiz's headline number moves. Plans run $187 to $270, but extra users are $40–45 each and the phone system, SMS credits and AI answering are add-ons. Real-world totals commonly land in the $225–325 range.
Thryv's bundles escalate fast. The Business Center starts around $244, but the packaged tiers run $684, $1,094 and $1,345 a month. It's a marketing platform with field-service features rather than the other way round.
Currency matters more than people expect. Most of these vendors are US companies publishing in USD. A $149 plan is closer to $200 CAD once your card settles, and it moves with the exchange rate. Check which currency you're being quoted before you compare.
What each one is actually good at
Jobber is the sensible default for most small Canadian trades, and it's a Canadian company — Edmonton-based, which means CAD pricing and support in your time zone. The scheduling is genuinely good, the mobile app is the best of the group, and the client hub is clean. If you have four trucks and you need dispatch to work properly, this is the one to beat.
ServiceTitan is the serious system. If you're running ten-plus technicians, doing real dispatch optimisation and want reporting a finance person will respect, it does things nothing else here does. It is also the most expensive by a wide margin and the hardest to leave.
Housecall Pro has the strongest consumer-facing booking experience — if your customers book online and you want that to feel polished, it's worth a look.
Workiz is unusually good at phone handling. If most of your work comes in by voice and call tracking matters to you, that's their strength.
Thryv is a marketing platform first. If you want campaigns, listings management and CRM in one place and field service is secondary, it fits better than the others.
The thing nobody puts in the comparison table
None of these include your website.
You subscribe to the software, and then you separately pay someone to build and host the site the software plugs into. That's typically $2,500–10,000 for a custom build in Canada, or $30–60 a month for a builder subscription you maintain yourself — on top of the software.
So the honest total for a small Canadian trade looks more like:
| Software | Website | Real monthly | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jobber Connect + Wix | $149 | ~$35 | ~$184 |
| Housecall Pro Essentials + agency-hosted site | $149 | ~$75 | ~$224 |
| ServiceTitan (3 techs) + agency-hosted site | $735+ | ~$75 | ~$810+ |
| Black Squid Grow | — | — | $250 all in |
That's the gap we built the business around. Your website, your quotes, your invoices, your chatbot and your missed-call text-back are one system at one price, and the site is part of the product rather than a prerequisite for it.
Case study: one electrician, one truck
Money is the easy comparison. The one that actually decides it is how many hours you spend before the thing works, and how many you spend every week keeping it working.
Here's a one-man electrical business in the Ottawa Valley. He needs a website, somewhere for leads to land, quotes, invoices, and a Google Business Profile that shows up. Estimated hours, his own time:
Getting set up (one-time)
| Do it yourself | Jobber + a builder | ServiceTitan | Black Squid | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Build the website | 15–40 hrs | 15–40 hrs | 15–40 hrs | 0 — built for you |
| Configure the software | — | 4–8 hrs | 3–12 month implementation | 1–2 hrs |
| Enter your price list | — | 2–4 hrs | in implementation | 1–2 hrs, or send a list |
| Import your customers | 0 | 1–2 hrs | in implementation | 1–2 hrs |
| Google Business Profile | 2–3 hrs | 2–3 hrs | 2–3 hrs | done with you at onboarding |
| Realistic total | 17–43 hrs | 24–57 hrs | months | 3–7 hrs |
The website line is the whole story. Every option except one asks a working electrician to become a web designer for a week — and that's the step that never gets finished, which is why so many trades have a site that's three years stale or no site at all.
Every week after that
| Do it yourself | Platform + separate site | Black Squid | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Writing quotes | 30–60 min each, evenings | 10–20 min each | 5–10 min from your price list |
| Invoicing + chasing | 1–2 hrs/week | 30 min/week | 15 min/week |
| Missed calls | lost | lost | answered automatically |
| Asking for reviews | never happens | manual | asked automatically after payment |
| Updating the website | never happens | never happens | monthly article written for you |
What it costs him
| Software | Website | Monthly | |
|---|---|---|---|
| DIY — builder + spreadsheets | $0 | ~$35 | ~$35 |
| Jobber Connect + builder | $149 | ~$35 | ~$184 |
| Workiz Standard + builder | $229 | ~$35 | ~$264 |
| Thryv Business Center | $244 | partial | ~$244 |
| ServiceTitan (1 tech) + builder | $245+ | ~$35 | ~$280+, plus implementation and a contract |
| Black Squid Core | — | — | $150 all in |
Being straight about the cheap end: doing it yourself with a website builder and a spreadsheet costs about $35 a month, and for some people that's genuinely the right answer. It costs you 17–43 hours to set up and several hours a week forever. If your time is worth $75 an hour, the "cheap" option is the most expensive one on this page inside two months.
And if you only want the software, Jobber at $149 is a good product. Add the website it doesn't include and you're at ~$184 — above our $150, across two bills, two logins, and two systems that don't know about each other.
Where we're not the answer
We'd rather you find this out here than three weeks in.
If you run ten or more technicians, ServiceTitan or Jobber's upper tiers will serve you better than we will. Real dispatch optimisation, crew routing and multi-crew scheduling are hard problems and they've spent years on them.
If you need a polished mobile app for your crew, we don't have one yet. Our stuff works on a phone browser, which is fine for one or two people and not the same thing as a native app.
If you depend on a deep integration ecosystem — QuickBooks two-way sync, payroll, inventory, a dozen Zapier hooks — Jobber and ServiceTitan have integration libraries we don't.
If you already have a website you like and a system that works, the switching cost probably isn't worth it. Genuinely.
Where we do fit: a one-to-five person Canadian trade who either has no website or has one that embarrasses them, who's tired of paying for two things that don't talk to each other, and who doesn't want a contract.
The other differences worth knowing
No contracts, anywhere. Month to month. If it isn't earning its keep, cancel it. We don't have a retention department because we don't need one.
No per-technician pricing. Hire a third guy, the price doesn't move.
You own everything. Your domain, your Google Business Profile, your data. If you leave, the site and the customer list go with you. That isn't a feature, it's just how it ought to work — but it's worth asking any vendor before you sign.
Canadian, in CAD. No exchange rate surprises on the card.
