Terms of Service
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of blacksq.com and any website or hosting service provided by Velesco Inc., operating as Black Squid ("Black Squid", "we", "us"), a company registered in Ontario, Canada. By engaging our services, you agree to these terms.
What we provide
Black Squid designs, builds, and hosts websites for small businesses on our own Cloudflare-based platform. Depending on your plan, this includes ongoing content updates, monthly SEO articles, booking or quote integrations, and general support.
Month-to-month, no contract
Our Start, Core and Grow plans are billed monthly with no fixed term. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we do not charge cancellation fees. The one-time build option is a single upfront payment followed by a flat monthly hosting and support fee, also cancellable at any time.
Payment
Monthly fees are billed in advance. If a payment fails and is not resolved within a reasonable period, we may suspend the site until payment is made current. We will always try to reach you before suspending anything.
Your content and data
You own the content, branding, and data on your site. If you leave, we provide a full static copy of your site and your data. Features that depend on our platform (self-updating pages, automatic SEO articles, live integrations) do not transfer, since they run on infrastructure we operate.
Limitation of liability
We work hard to keep your site fast and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Black Squid's total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business opportunities.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
